Approximately 13 months ago Larry reached out to me while I lived at a homeless shelter and sent me a free / complimentary copy of his meditation book he wrote - meditation swerve.
I was desperately seeking guidance at the time about meditation because it's something I found much frustration with in the past mainly because I could not "quiet " my overactive mind under any circumstance.
We'll I began following him as well on fb and before long I would learn Larry and his beautiful book which I recommend to any beginner for meditation
btw... that meditation wasn't what I learnt and thought it was all my life...in fact it was quite simple and I was overthinking this practice beyond frustration.
Larry's teaching is very simple. It's if you can't quite the mind today.
try again tomorrow.
His writings shifted my entire view on how to meditate. I felt so relieved and comforted by his simple advice I began trying. Then one day.. omg I was able to finally quiet my mind for just 3 seconds or so...
well this was all that I needed to continue. Each day I would try, Larry's words would play in my mind, and I kept trying and not beating myself up for thinking sometimes throughout my meditation, to finally getting so deep that i would sometimes jump out of my body when Deepak rings the bell n in his deep voice says it's time to release the mantra. Meditation has changed my life, and has put me on a committed spiritual path n journey I never imagined possible.
For this I owe Larry Li my deepest of gratitude. Because he's not changed my life but saved it more that he knows. I only just told him some of this tonight.
His words give me encouragement. Before that I used give up thinking I'll never be able to meditate. Today I can meditate in a crowd if I need to. What a blessing. Thank you my beautiful friend. May our universe continue to shower you with abundance of blessings and light. Namaste. All my relations .
